IPBES11 Plenary: Bridging science, policy, and biodiversity

The eleventh session of the Plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES 11) took place in Windhoek, Namibia, from 10 to 16 December 2024, hosted by the Government of Namibia. The session brought together global experts and policymakers to assess the state of biodiversity and ecosystem services and to shape future actions and priorities.

Maria Hällfors, representing SYKE and part of the OBSGESSION project’s coordination team, participated remotely in the plenary. Drawing on her scientific expertise, she actively contributed to the discussions, supporting the evidence-based dialogue that underpins IPBES’s mission to bridge science and policy in addressing global biodiversity challenges.
