What's new with the DAM framework: OBSGESSION Seminar
On 29th October 2025, another OBSGESSION internal seminar was held online. The topic of the webinar was the detection and attribution modelling (DAM) framework, a key output and focus of the project, and the progress made so far within WP3 Detection, attribution, and modelling biodiversity and ecosystem changes.
The event began with an introduction outlining the overall context, key definitions, and the contribution map, followed by a presentation of the main concepts.
The next session covered the conceptual basis of the DAM framework and its macroecological approach, including two thematic presentations and discussion. After a coffee break, participants were introduced to the NaviDAM decision tool, with an overview of its purpose, structure, and opportunities for contribution.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to applications of the DAM framework, featuring an example implementation, a demonstration of the NaviDAM tool in action, and space for participants to explore their own potential applications.
The event closed with a brief summary of the day’s key points and a final Q&A session.
